Officer Leonard “Lenny” Williamson
Lenny unexpectedly passed on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at the age of 73. He was predeceased by his son, Lenny, Jr.; and mother, Ruth. He leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years, Sharon; his daughter, Karen (Stephen) Sauer; his sister, Ruth Ann (Brian) Virgil; and sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many nieces, nephews, cherished friends, and his beloved dog, Max. Lenny retired as the longest serving Webster Police Officer serving 36 years as well as a retired school bus driver.
Friends may call 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Saturday, March 25, at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster, where his Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, March 26. Memorials may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project.

March 17, 2023, at age 77 after a long and courageous battle with an autoimmune disease. Sharon is predeceased by her parents James Sr. & Mary Magnera. Survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Phil; her children, Christina (Kristopher) Kohrt, Annemarie (Larry) Lindner & Philip (Samantha) Rivaldo; 8 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter; brothers & sisters, Frank (Joyce) Magnera, Carol (Charles) Culmone, & James Jr. (Beth) Magnera; brothers and sisters in law, Sam, Nicholas (Nilda), David & Donald (Susan) Rivaldo; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Sharon was a retired Lieutenant with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, President Emeritus of Italeo, Inc., and organized the Annunciation Church senior group for 50 plus years. She volunteered at Camp Good Days and Special Times and devoted herself to the community in many other areas. She will be dearly missed.

Officer Richard “Doc” Crane
Crane, Richard (1943-2023) PENFIELD: Richard Crane, a Vietnam-era Marine and career police officer, died in Rochester, NY on Sunday, April 2, 2023 after a lengthy battle with kidney disease caused by his exposure to contaminated drinking water while stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC. He was 79 years old.
Richard is survived by his wife, Galina Crane; children, Nicole Emily Crane, Carrie Eileen Crane, and Celia Elise Crane; stepson, Yuri Novikov; grandchildren, Lily Crane Codera, Jack Crane Codera, and Thurston Wolfram Crane-Messina; brothers, Robert (Janet) Crane, and Roger (Becky) Crane, sister-in-law, Carmel Crane, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers, John (Ingrid) Crane and Douglas Crane. Richard and his twin brother were born at Genesee Hospital in Rochester on August 24, 1943 to John (Jack) and Bettie Jean (Sweet) Crane.
Following his graduation from Sodus High School, Richard enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he faithfully served our country from November 14, 1961 to November 13, 1967, earning the rank of E5 USMC Sergeant.
Following his honorable discharge, Richard studied English at SUNY Geneseo, where his lifelong love of literature and philosophy were firmly established.
In 1988, at the age of 42, Richard became the oldest rookie cop to successfully graduate the Rochester Police Academy. During the following 2+ decades, he worked in Clinton Section, first platoon. He proudly served as an FTO (field training officer), helping to train rookie recruits, and came to be affectionately known as “Doc” amongst fellow police officers.
During his career, Richard’s distinguished police work and unfailing dedication to protecting area citizens was recognized with over 100 Excellent Police Service Awards, and the Henry H. Jensen Memorial Award for “unsung heroes.”
Richard was passionate about good food, music, art, elves, cows, foxes, diecast model cars, and stamp collecting. His friends from dialysis referred to him as the “Candy Man” and his daughters knew him as “Lionheart” and “Old Pa.” Richard’s congeniality, generous spirit, and eccentric ways will be missed by all fortunate to have known him.
Friends and family are invited to call Saturday, April 8 from 10 AM to noon at Norton Funeral Home, 45 W. Main Street in Sodus, NY. A funeral service will begin at 12pm, after which Richard will be laid to rest with full military honors at Lake View Cemetery in Williamson, NY.

Officer James Lilly
Jim went home to Heaven, peacefully on April 12, 2023 at the age of 86. Jim was born in Toronto, Canada on November 18, 1936. He lived in Toronto, Canada until he was 15 years old. He and his mother and father moved to Rochester, New York where he continued to live in his family’s home for the rest of his life.
He married Phyllis Church on October 12, 1957 at Bethany Presbyterian Church, in Rochester, New York. Jim was a retired Rochester City Police Officer and took pride in serving his community. He was an active member of First Bible Baptist Church since 1970 and served as a Deacon and faithful member. One of his fondest church memories was a mission’s trip to Inuvik, NWT to help build a Church in the Artic.
Predeceased by his parents, Charles and Margaret, and his wife Phyllis. Survived by his children, Karen (Gregg) Carpenter, Kevin (Lanette) Lilly, Kim (Keith) Russell; grandchildren, Kendra (Peter) Steele, Ali Carpenter, Scott (Jennifer) Lilly, Meagan (Nathan) Rhodes, Joshua (Stef) Lilly, Cayla (Kevin) Craig, Alex (Caitlin) Russell, Adam Russell, Christie Russell and 8 great grandchildren and extended family and friends.
Jim had a fun loving spirit with a great sense of humor who loved his family and enjoyed the prayer and fellowship of the Saturday morning men’s prayer group. He will be remembered for his thoughtfulness by faithfully sending out cards for all special occasions. Jim was known for his faith and love of the Lord and family and his ability to make people smile and laugh. He will be greatly missed by all who came in contact with him and we will miss his infectious smile.
Family would like to thank pastor Mike Metzger for all the years of support along with others who checked in on him throughout the years. We also want to thank the Palliative Care Unit of Strong Memorial Hospital for their thoughtful and compassionate care.

Delmar Earl Leach went home to be with the Lord and the love of his life, Mary.
Del is survived by his treasured family: sons Michael, Thomas (Yvonne Pensgen), Daniel (Patricia) and Peter (Colleen), and daughters MaryEllen (Ford – Timothy), Patrice (Wells – Scott), Aileen, and Anne; his brother Gordon, sister-in-law, MaryAnne and sister-in-law Kathrine Ignatowski, many nieces, nephews and 32 grandchildren & 36 great-grandchildren.
Del was a Veteran of the US Air Force and US Air Force reserve. In 1953, he joined the Rochester Police Department where he steadily rose through the ranks. After his tenure as Chief of the RPD, Del became a Professor of Criminal Justice at Monroe Community College.
Throughout his exceptional career, along with his many accomplishments, he was most proud of his family.

Detective Sergeant Daniel Emerson
Passed peacefully June 9, 2023 at the age of 90.
Survived by his wife of 70 years, Marie; daughters, Jacqueline (Edward) Addy & Kathleen (James) DeBellis; granddaughters, Megan (Matt) Syfrett, Chelsea (Danny Casarella) Addy, & Hannah DeBellis; & other family & friends.
Dan was retired from the Monroe County Sheriffs Office as a Sergeant Detective after 25 years of service. He was the Drum Major of the Rochester Scottish Pipe & Drum Band and a retiree of Kodak Security. Dan was a member of the Freemasons with ERAC 154 achieving the rank of Master Mason.

Eugene L. Goff of Caledonia died June 11, 2023 at age 77. He is survived by his wife, Renate, daughter Renae (Keven) Racanelli-Rowland, brother Randy Goff, one niece and one nephew.
Gene retired from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, Road Patrol. He was a NY Yankee’s, Buffalo Bills, and Green Bay Packer’s fan. He enjoyed his 1967 Chevy Impala Convertible, on-line shopping and the Hallmark Channel, but mostly he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Officer Charles Ray “Charlie” Little
Age 80, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2023. Born May 5, 1943, to Willis and Iona Little, he is survived by his wife, Joanne M. Smith; four children, Charles Little, Jr., David Little, Kory Little, and Amara Little; and grandchildren. Charlie was a retired Rochester City Police Officer. In his retirement, he enjoyed being outdoors, especially to mow the lawn. He loved spending time with friends and family, and always had a good story to share. Lt. William Charles Forman
William C. Forman, age 86 of Prattsburgh, passed away at home on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. Bill was born on December 2, 1936 in Fairport and was the only child of the late Frank & Frances (Gerringer) Forman.
Bill served our military in the US Army from 1961-1966 and was a retired Monroe County Sheriff. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing as well as coin collecting. In addition to his parents, Bill is predeceased by his ex-wife, Sandra Forman.
Bill is survived by his children: Scott (Christy) Forman, Catherine Cioffi, & Marc (Deb) Forman and his grandchild, Bernard (Sarah) Benitez.

Trooper Peter C. Detoy
Peter passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023, after a 7-year battle with cancer. He is predeceased by his parents Alfred and Jessie. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years and best friend Gail. He is also survived by three children Michael (Laurel) DeToy, Suzanne (David) Eshenour and Kerry (David) Blask, 6 grandchildren, and sister Jacqueline (Dexter) Nowak.
Peter led a happy and busy life. Joining the NY Army National Guard at age 15 and served for 8 years. He then was appointed to the New York State Police as a Trooper in June of 1962, he served honorably until retirement in 1982. He then enjoyed a second career as an insurance investigator for another 20 years. He was active in his community, he was a life member of the Brockport Volunteer Fire Department, a two term Village of Brockport Village Board Trustee. Past Commander of Brockport American Legion Post 379. He and Gail were members of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church for 60 years, where for over 20 years he was a lector and served on the Mt. Olivet Cemetery Board. Peter was a life member of the Knights of Columbus, where he was a Grand Knight and Fourth Degree Faithful Navigator. He and Gail enjoyed camping for over 30 years, and spent the last decade in Florida where they made many friends. He enjoyed golf and refereed several sports. He was very proud of his grandchildren and their achievements.

Retired Investigator, James (Jim) McIlveen, passed away on August 23, 2023. Jim had a long history as a lawman, starting with the City of Canandaigua in 1958 until 1964. In 1958 Jim also worked as a Firefighter. His career then took him to the Sheriff’s station in 1967. He was promoted to Criminal Investigator in 1971, where he served until his retirement in 1983. After retirement Jim went to work at Hey’s Construction (As we all know, he could not stand being idle). Jim and Carol (Mickey) enjoyed many winters in Florida, before he became ill. He was also an expert in skeet shooting, and has won many competitions. Jim is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carol (Mickey) McIlveen; son, Rick (Karen) McIlveen; daughter, Tracy (Dave) Richter, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Fred was a veteran and served honorably in the US Marine Corp during the Korean conflict. After his service, Fred enjoyed a 23-year career with the Rochester Police Department, retiring as a Detective. After retirement, Fred with Mary Jane became the owners and operators of Upstate New York Trucking and Truck Training. Lastly for his final retirement, Fred established FAS Woodworking.
Fred, known to many as “Uncle Fred,” was devoted to his family and friends, and dedicated to the community in which he lived. Fred had great faith and was a council member of his parish, St. Nicholas Church. Fred was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his lifelong talent of woodworking, often teaching others his craft.

Officer Thomas Robert Dean
Formerly of Rochester, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2023 at age 86. He is predeceased by his son, Robert; and brother, Tommy Dean. Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Patricia; children, Linda Sewruk, David DiMino, William Dean, Richard (Kelly) Dean, Mark Dean, April (Steve) Lathrop, Deborah (Jim) Brague and Christopher (Krissie) DiMeno; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Diane Moroz, Suzanne (Mike) Wicker, Betsy Ansley, Mary Beth Williams, James Dean, Georgianna Brennan and Anna (Larry) Lomax; many nieces and nephews.
Anyone who met him knew Tom was quite the character. He spent 32 years serving as a Police Officer for the Maple Section of the Rochester Police Department, which gave him plenty of interesting stories to tell over the years. While he was proud to serve his city, he was most passionate for anything with an engine. Running a shop out of their garage, going to the auction to look for new cars, and occasionally cruising around on his Harley. He spent almost 63 years with his beloved wife Pat, helping create a large family full of love, wild adventures, and a lifetime of entertaining moments that will live on for years to come. Tom will be greatly missed by all those within his circle.

Survived by his children, Christine (Brent) Hooks of AZ, his son Daniel (Jennifer Cartwright) Van Nort, & Vicki Fisher; his “wife”, Margery Van Nort; Grandchildren, Brian, Brent Jr., Renee, Kenneth, Scarlet, Zachary & Spencer; Great-grandchildren, Taylem, Maddox, Marshall & Sydney; extended Mayne’s family in Edmeston, NY, with whom he lived from the age of 15, with the 5 siblings: Demi Bolton (Tom), Joyce Swartfeger (Terry), Gayle Smith (Dec. Monty), Terry Henderson (Pastor Jay), and brother Bubin; Parents, Jim and Jackie Mayne. Jackie passed this July. Dad considered Mayne’s to be home. Many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Dewey was a U.S. Marine who proudly served the Rochester community as a police officer for 27 years. He also owned and operated a funeral escort service for many years.

Predeceased by his wife, Joanie Marianetti; parents, Alvaro and Angelina Marianetti; brothers, Anthony (Irene) Marianetti, Alvaro Marianetti, Louis (Jackie) Marianetti, Richard (Clara) Marianetti. He is survived by his sons, Victor Marianetti, Michael (Angela) Marianetti; loving companion, Linda Graff; sister-in-law, Angelina Marianetti; many nieces and nephews. Victor was a retired police officer from the Rochester City Police Department.

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Lisa (Rozzi) Silipigni; children, Donna (Tom) Mayer of FL, Stephen (Tina) Silipigni of NH, Russell (Tammy) Silipigni of VA; grandchildren, Marissa, Michael, Sarah, Aidan and Laura; great grandchildren, Luke and Lexi; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Anna Rossi, Jessie DiPonzio, Richard and Barbara Rozzi; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Silipigni was a retired police officer from the Rochester City Police Department.

Joan was a very generous and thoughtful person. She helped families in need and always remembered birthdays of friends and neighbors.
Joan retired from the Social Services Department as an investigator.

Captain Scott Alberti
Scott Alberti passed away on November 9, 2023, after courageously battling cancer. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Rosalie Alberti. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Flora (Calvaresi) Alberti; son, Antonio Alberti; brothers, Frank Alberti, Vincent Alberti; sister, Debra (Lapp) Alberti; niece Francesca Alberti; nephew, Evan Lapp; great nephew, Corbin Lapp; mother-in-law, Concetta Calvaresi; many other relatives and friends.
He was born December 26, 1972, in Rochester NY., growing up in Wolcott NY. After graduating from North Rose Wolcott high school, Scott received a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from SUNY Brockport. Scott joined the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department in 1994 where he spent 29 years serving the community. He had a wonderful career rising up through the ranks to become a Captain and then commanding officer of A Zone. Scott enjoyed fishing, coaching, traveling, golfing and spending time with his wife and son.

Martyn H. Lauchlan, 78, of Rochester, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023. Martyn was predeceased by his parents, Hunter and Martha Lauchlan and sister, Anna Perryman.
He is survived by his sister, Jean Ray; children, Martyn H. Lauchlan Jr., Patti (Ron) Jarvie and Kristi (Tom) Lauchlan; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grand children; several nieces and nephews. Martyn was a veteran of The United States Air Force and had retired from the Rochester Police Department. Services and interment will be private.
